New Dietician in Squamish
We now have a Registered Dietician (Suzie Cromwell) working out of Elaho Clinic approximately one day weekly (for now, most Fridays from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm, starting Aug 19th) - and at this juncture, billing privately (many Extended Medical Plans may cover these services, but unfortunately at this time MSP does not yet cover Dieticians).
Many major Extended Medical Plans including Blue Cross, Great West Life, Sun Life, Chambers of Commerce group, Clarica, and Liberty Manulife may cover Dietician services (depending on the policy agreement).
Suzie Cromwell
Registered Dietitian
Suzie Cromwell is a Registered Dietitian now working part-time at Elaho Medical Clinic. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Food, Nutrition and Health at UBC, and following her graduation she completed an extensive integrated internship with Fraser Health Authority at both Royal Columbian and Burnaby Hospitals. Suzie is registered with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia and is a member of Dietitians of Canada.
Suzie’s passion is to motivate clients in making realistic and sustainable healthy diet changes. She is committed to helping individuals meet their nutritional goals by working closely with them to optimize their health, to prevent and manage chronic disease, and to improve their overall quality of life.
Suzie’s scope of expertise includes: healthy weight loss and maintenance, the prevention and management of various chronic diseases (including Diabetes, Kidney, and Cardiovascular disease), and the effective management of digestive issues (including IBS, IBD, and Celiac Disease); as well, she has a special interest in Sports Nutrition.
