Dr. Lawrence Klein
Dr Lawrence Klein studied medicine at the University of British Columbia and interned on the other side of Canada - at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia. He travelled and worked as a locum both in Canada and overseas for nearly ten years before settling in Squamish in 1998 - where he initially shared a practice with Dr. Judith Fothergill.
In 2010 Dr Klein joined with Drs Illingworth and Kranz to create Elaho Medical Clinic – a multidisciplinary centre which strives to offer the best of both conventional and complementary medical therapies. He currently manages a thriving general medical practice at Elaho, and occupies the remainder of his professional time practicing Obstetrics and Emergency Medicine at the Squamish Hospital, as well as consulting at the nearby Paradise Valley Wellness Centre.
He is both the Director of Diabetes Care and the Coordinator of Medical Education for the Squamish medical community, and is a former medical consultant to the RBC Gran Fondo bicycling events.
He sometimes finds time to hike, bike, ski, forage for wild mushrooms - and even attend the occasional yoga class.
